Edward Seago

Anyone who followed my previous posts on inspiring artists will know of my admiration for the work and influence of Edward Seago.

I already have several books on his works so it was a joy to discover this one for sale in an Oxfam Bookshop in Greenwich. The book was published by Sotherby's in 1991, has a foreword by HRH Duke of Edinburgh and is a heavy hardback of some 264 pages with many full page colour prints as well as black and white prints. It covers his formative years and environment in East Anglia and then his travels and art covering many European countries, Africa, the Far East and shows the great skill in both watercolour and oil in capturing light and shade in some perfect compositions.
